Version 6.5 “Augured Homecoming” of Genshin Impact, also known as “Luna VI” or “Song of the Welkin Moon: Rondo,” is officially scheduled to release on April 8, 2026.

The update introduces a new 5-star character, a structured two-phase banner schedule, the return of the Chronicled Wish system, new regions, enemies, weapons, and a wide lineup of in-game events.

Event Wish Schedule and Details

Version 6.5 introduces a two-phase Event Wish rotation, featuring one new character debut alongside returning 5-star characters. Each banner follows the standard limited-time wish structure, where featured characters receive significantly increased drop rates and are not added to the permanent banner pool.

Phase 1 Event Wishes (Starting April 8, 11:00 UTC+8)

The first phase begins immediately after the Version 6.5 update goes live, marking the debut of Linnea and the return of Chasca.

Ya-hoho! Compendium (Linnea)

This banner highlights “Augur of Wonders” Linnea (Geo), a new 5-star Geo Bow character making her first appearance in the game.

During this event wish:

  • Linnea receives a major drop-rate boost

  • She is classified as an event-exclusive character

  • She will not be available in the standard wish “Wanderlust Invocation”

As a debut banner, this phase represents the only confirmed opportunity to obtain Linnea during this version, making it a key target for players interested in her kit and playstyle.

Piercing Shot’s Crimson Wake (Chasca)

Running alongside Linnea’s banner is Chasca, featured in her own event wish.

During this event wish:

  • Chasca is available with a boosted drop rate

  • She follows the limited-time banner structure

  • Like other featured characters, she is not obtainable from the standard banner during the event period

This dual-banner setup allows players to choose between pulling for a new character (Linnea) or a returning 5-star (Chasca) within the same timeframe.

Phase 2 Event Wishes (TBA)

Following the conclusion of Phase 1, Version 6.5 transitions into its second banner phase, introducing two additional featured characters.

Moonsong of the Groves (Lauma)

This banner features “Evermoon’s Sacrament Song” Lauma (Dendro) as the main 5-star character.

During this event wish:

  • Lauma receives a significant drop-rate boost

  • She is treated as an event-exclusive character

  • She will not be added to the standard wish pool

This phase continues the rotation by shifting focus to a Dendro-aligned character, offering a different gameplay option compared to Phase 1.

Temptation of the Crimson Sands (Nefer)

Running alongside Lauma is “Secret Beneath the Sands” Nefer (Dendro).

During this event wish:

  • Nefer also receives a boosted drop rate

  • She remains exclusive to the event banner

  • She is not available in Wanderlust Invocation

With both Lauma and Nefer featured in Phase 2, players are given access to two Dendro 5-star characters simultaneously, providing more flexibility depending on team compositions and preferences.

Chronicled Wish: Fontaine Banner System

In addition to the standard Event Wishes, Version 6.5 brings back the Chronicled Wish system, this time centered around the Fontaine region.

Fontaine is one of the seven nations of Teyvat, known as the land that worships Focalors, the Hydro Archon and God of Justice, and serves as the main setting for Archon Quest Chapter IV.

How Chronicled Wish Works:

The Chronicled Wish banner allows players to:

  • Select from a curated pool of Fontaine characters and weapons

  • Set a designated 5-star target

  • Progress toward guaranteed acquisition through the system mechanics

This provides a more controlled pulling experience compared to standard banners.

To unlock Fontaine-related content and access this system, players must:

  • Complete Archon Quest Prologue: Act I – The Outlander Who Caught the Wind

  • Progress through Act III – Song of the Dragon and Freedom to unlock:

    • Teleport Waypoints in Realm of Farakhkert (Sumeru)

    • Marcotte Station (Fontaine)

These requirements ensure players have reached the necessary progression point before accessing Fontaine-based content.

A Flexible Banner System Across Both Phases

With:

  • A new character debut in Phase 1

  • Returning characters across both phases

  • A dual-banner structure per phase

  • And the addition of Chronicled Wish (Fontaine)

Version 6.5 delivers a highly flexible summoning system, giving players multiple options depending on whether they prioritize new releases, reruns, or targeted pulls.

New Weapon: Golden Frostbound Oath

Version 6.5 introduces a new 5-star bow, Golden Frostbound Oath, as part of the update’s weapon lineup. This weapon is designed to enhance Geo-based performance while also strengthening Lunar-Crystallize reaction damage.

Base Stats (Level 90, Refinement Rank 1)

  • CRIT DMG: 88.2%

  • Base ATK: 542

The weapon provides a strong CRIT-focused stat line, making it a high-value option for damage-oriented bow users.

Passive Effect: Dawn’s Salutation Returned

Golden Frostbound Oath comes with a multi-layered passive that enhances both individual and team performance:

  • Increases DEF by 16%

  • When the equipped character’s Elemental Skill or Lunar-Crystallize attacks hit enemies:

    • Gains Frost Fae’s Favor for 6 seconds

    • During this effect:

      • Geo DMG increases by 40%

      • Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG increases by 40%

  • While the effect is active:

    • If Moondrifts are nearby:

      • Nearby party members gain Frost Fae’s Mischief

      • Geo DMG dealt increases by 20%

      • Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG increases by 20%

      • This effect can trigger even if the equipped character is off-field

This makes the weapon not only a strong personal DPS option, but also provides teamwide buffs, especially in compositions that utilize Geo damage and reaction-based gameplay.
